Today's Look
It's been snowing non-stop all day today, despite that I photographed and posted my first look for Lookbook in months. Hope you enjoy the look!

A New Beginning
So, I've made this promise countless times but here we go again... I will commit to blogging. I've decided that blogging is a far better use of my time than watching TV shows that I didn't even watch in the first place. Honestly, I have four TV channels and there is hardly ever anything good on, yet I get stuck in front of the noise for hours every day. Instead, I hope I'll be successful in redirecting my time towards the blog, which should in turn motivate me to do something at least slightly meaningful in my free time.
I hope to share...
...My Photography
I'm a beginner and completely self taught but, through the willingness of the online community to share, I've learnt so much and continue to learn every time I pick up the camera. Hopefully I'll be able to help some beginners with tips and tricks of my own, the same goes for post processing and other design work I do in Photoshop (which will be a lot more once I invest in a tablet!).
...My Style
Like my photography - and nearly everything else in my life - my style is constantly developing and not quite where i want it to be just yet, I'm getting there though! Perhaps more for myself than anyone else, I want to record the development of my personal style both here and on Lookbook, and hopefully I can even inspire a person or two!
...Technology
I'll be the first to admit that I'm a bit of a geek, I'm currently enrolled in three different programming courses and a lot of my free time is spent gaming or reading up on science and technology, so I look forward to sharing my discoveries.
...A Million Other Things
This blog will be an outlet for absolutely everything so expect to see recipes, home styling, sources of inspiration, and anything else that catches my attention (you'll also see a lot of oxford commas, here's why).

MIA
I haven't written for a couple of weeks, I knew this was bound to happen (I'm not very good at blogging, I never have the time or know what to write) I did however think it would take a little longer for me to abandon the blog. But I'm back!

I'll start by updating you [my imaginary readers] on what I've been up to, that and more photos after the jump!

Sock Bun
I love wearing my hair in a bun and usually achieve this look by just twisting my hair but for my look White Light I made a sock bun, which is bigger than my normal bun, and yes - this hairstyle really does include a sock, I swear no one will know though! Honestly, I don't normally like this look, I much prefer my normal bun. However, I have found that sleeping with my hair in a sock bun is a great way to get natural looking curls (like sleeping with braids for waves)! Bellow is a step-by-step photo guide of how to achieve this look! I hope it's helpful, don't hesitate to comment if anything is unclear and please let me know if you try this out and it works for you too!

Free Custom Bloglovin' Badges!
I've been customizing my blog today and I realized that I can make my own badges linked to sites like Bloglovin' and Pinterest. As you can see on the left-hand side of my blog I have now customized all of my badges to match my header and overall blog theme! Since I know that Bloglovin' has a very limited range of badges I decided to share some bloglovin' badges that I created but chose not to use. These badges are all fairly simple but if anyone has any suggestions or requests for another style of badge I would be more than happy to help you create it!
If you use Blogger, go to Design > Layout > Add Gadget > Picture
Then simply upload the image from your saved files and put your Bloglovin' URL in the Link feild.
If you don't use Blogger I think you will need to upload the image to an image hosting site such as Photobucket or Tinypic and use the html code they provide. Add the code to a widget, replacing the first link (to the image hosting site) with the link to your Bloglovin' profile.
If you have any questions or requests, don't hesitate to leave a comment!
Hope you like the badges!

How to use customized badges:
I have created five simple badges that you can choose from - they are all of course free to use. The badges are really just image files so save them as you would save any image. If you use Blogger, go to Design > Layout > Add Gadget > Picture
Then simply upload the image from your saved files and put your Bloglovin' URL in the Link feild.

If you have any questions or requests, don't hesitate to leave a comment!
Hope you like the badges!
